HIFU stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound. The treatment directs ultrasound energy at selected depths beneath the skin with the aim of supporting the body’s natural collagen response. It does not remove skin and it is not surgery.
Changes are expected to develop gradually rather than immediately, and the degree of visible firming varies from person to person. HIFU does not reproduce the result of a surgical face or neck lift, so a suitability conversation is important before committing to treatment.
